Tuhon GrandMaster Rick L. Wei-Ward Grandmaster Rick Wei-Ward began martial arts training in 1979 at the age of 19 to rehabilitate his health after a long illness. When his health began to improve, his dedication and love for martial arts grew. He knew at this time he wanted to be a teacher and help other people build self- confidence, learn respect for themselves and others, and become better individuals in their own way. This has made him a highly devoted and respected martial artist, and motivated him to continue teaching the martial arts as a way of life. Tuhon/GrandMaster Ward is the founder and president of the International Kung-Fu Arnis Association, the International Kung- fu Arnis Weapons Association, and the White Cloud Society. He's been awarded a Gold Medal and Certificate for the World's Top 100 Exceptional Martial Artists from the International Martial Arts Federation. In 2000, he was appointed 36th patriarch of the Emperor's Long Fist System by, now retired, international Grandmaster Dr. David E. Wei Kash. Having promoted over 100 black belts, Tuhon Ward is GrandMaster instructor of several schools in North Carolina as well as Tennessee, Kansas, Mississippi, Virginia, and Florida. Master Joshua A. Wei-Watson For over 20 years, Master Joshua Wei-Watson has studied many martial art styles including Sil Lum Kung-Fu, Emperor’s Long Fist, Kali, Arnis, PentJak Silat, Mongolian Shuai Chiao, Wing Chun, and Tibetan Lama Pi. He is a Certified International Master Instructor of ShaoLin Kung-Fu and Emperor’s Long Fist, and a 5th Degree Master in Sasamba Kali Arnis. In 2008, Master Watson was inducted into the Filipino Martial Arts Hall of Fame for ‘Master of the Year.’ In addition, he holds the ranks of 3rd Degree Black Belt in PentJak Silat and Hopkito. Sifu Watson is a Traditional Disciple of GrandMaster Ward’s, which conferred and blessed him into the Wei family, bringing him into a very long and prestigious lineage in the Chinese Martial Arts dating back to the 1st Emperor of the Sung Dynasty. Master Watson has conducted numerous training seminars on Hand-to-Hand Combat and Stick, Knife, and Improvised Weapons Fighting to the U.S. Army’s Special Operations Forces. |
